This care package includes one disposable camera, one box of mooncakes, panda or toy cars , Top quality soft blanket (soft blue blanket for boy,red /pink/hot pink/yellow blanket for girl ) and one letter to dirctor. (translation is free).

Mid-Autumn Day Festival (10-3-2009 )

Why is the Mid Autumn Festival so important? Because it is related to the moon and Chinese people like the Moon very much. In Chinese culture, the full moon is a symbol of peace and prosperity of the whole family. On Chinese lunar August 15th the moon looks full round so people think this day is very propitious.All family memebers supposed to eat mooncake ,drink tea and watch the moon together .

I am sure your child ,foster family or the orphange staff will be very supprised and touched to receive mooncake from you guys !!!

These cakes were made with melon seeds, lotus seeds, almonds, minced meats, bean paste, orange peels and lard. A golden yolk from a salted duck egg was placed at the center of each cake, and the golden brown crust was decorated with symbols of the festival.
